Nominations:
Nominations are accepted for Municipal Elections beginning on May 1, 2026 and close on August 21, 2026 at 2:00 pm. The Term will be from November 2026 to October 2030.
Interested Candidates can pick up Candidate Packages beginning May 1, 2026.
2026 – Form 1 – Nomination Paper
Campaigning:
Campaign expenses may not be incurred until nomination papers are officially filed. This includes costs such as website development, domain registration, promotional materials and advertising. Any expenses incurred prior to nomination cannot be included in your financial statements and will not be reimbursed. You may express your intent to run through unpaid promotion such as social media posts, provided no money is spent.
This is outlined in Section 88.20(1)-(2) of the Municipal Elections Act, which states that no campaign expenses may be incurred until a person is officially nominated. More regulations on Municipal Elections can also be found in O.Reg 101/97

Township of Admaston/Bromley Council Composition:
1 – Mayor
4 – Councilors
Council meetings are every first & third Thursday of every month beginning at 7:30 pm, with additional Committee meetings when items arise.
Election Format:
The 2026 Municipal Election format will include Electronic and Telephone Voting for an advance voting period and also available on Election Day.
Traditional Paper Ballots will be available on Election Day (October 26).
